WORX Invites New Facebook Fans to Help Plant 30,000 Trees in 30 Days

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- WORX(R) has a great proposition for folks who want to do something positive for the environment. How about planting a tree for free with just the click of a mouse?

WORX has announced its innovative Facebook Fan 30,000-Trees-in-30-Days campaign to celebrate Arbor Day, April 30, 2010, as well as the launch of its new customer-service-driven Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/worxyardtools). For the first 30,000 persons who become WORX Facebook Fans by April 30th, the company will make a donation to the Arbor Day Foundation to have a tree planted in their honor. Each tree will be planted in one of our nation's forests.

What can one tree do? One tree can absorb more than a ton of carbon over its lifetime. A full-grown tree can lift as much as 100 gallons of water out of the ground and into the air in one day. And one mature tree can provide oxygen for up to four people in a day. Imagine all that 30,000 trees can do!
