"I am extremely honored that Worth Fastpitch has given me this opportunity to represent its products while I continue my softball career professionally," says Ricketts. "Because I used Worth throughout my college career at Oklahoma, I have all the confidence that their products are the best out there and will help me further my career as well as promote the game to younger players."
As the new face of Worth Fastpitch, Ricketts will be featured in a full marketing campaign that encompasses print, digital and social media, as well as other grassroots efforts. The endorsement involves a signature bat series and also includes gloves, helmets and various other products. Ricketts' signature bat line is scheduled to hit stores in 2014.
"We could not have asked for a better athlete to represent our brand," commented Mark Kraemer, brand management director of Worth Sports. "Keilani is an exemplary athlete on and off the field. She has dominance in the circle, power at the plate, and she understands the importance of being a role model for the future of fastpitch."
In addition to the 2013 Honda Cup, Ricketts also received two Honda Sports Awards for softball, and two USA Collegiate Player of the Year awards. She also is the 2013 Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, and Women's College World Series MVP. Beyond these awards, Ricketts has been nominated for an ESPY as the Best Female College Athlete.
