World's Largest Event Security Firm Signs 3-Year Contract Renewal With 49ers

NORTHRIDGE, Calif., April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC), the world's largest event security firm, recently signed a 3-year contract renewal with the San Francisco 49ers that will extend their partnership through 2012. CSC has been affiliated with the 49ers since 1986 and will continue to provide crowd control and event security for all home games at Candlestick Park. CSC is responsible for screening all patrons entering the stadium as well as monitoring behavior and enforcing policies on the interior of the stadium.

The 49ers have actively pursued efficiency in crowd behavior measurements, including the installation of an incident tracking system and a code of conduct policy. The 49ers code of conduct policy and enforcement requires involvement from all entities providing services at the stadium, including CSC, 49ers operations personnel, and the San Francisco Police Department. CSC provides services for the 49ers under the direction of Jim Mercurio, Vice President of Stadium Operations and Security, Larry Minasian, Senior Manager of Game Operations and Security, and Julian Sakti, Manager of Game Operations and Security. CSC will also assist with crowd management operations during the 49ers training camp at their Santa Clara facility.
