TEANECK, N.J., July 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kumon, the world's largest after-school education franchisor, is looking for prospective small business owners with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping children reach their full academic potential, to open a Kumon Math and Reading Center in their community.
Kumon is offering a one-time incentive program totaling $10,000 for prospective franchisees who sign a Kumon training agreement by October 3, 2016 and open a new Kumon Center no later than August 31, 2017. One franchisee in each of Kumon's five regions (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest and Southwest), will receive the following:
- Reimbursement of any prepaid franchise fee deposit
- Waiver of Kumon's franchise and materials fees
- Reimbursement up to $10,000 of qualifying learning center development and marketing expenses
The incentive award of $10,000 is in addition to the initial financial incentives totaling $19,000 that all Kumon franchisees receive to assist in start-up costs. Franchisee support goes well beyond the financial incentives, as Kumon assists all new franchisees in the development of a concrete business plan, supports local marketing with national student recruitment initiatives, provides ongoing training, and opportunities to learn from experts at annual conferences.
"The supplemental education industry is one of the fastest-growing franchise industries and Kumon has the lowest franchise fee amongst competitors," said Larry Lambert, vice president of franchise recruitment at Kumon North America. "As the demand for additional learning centers continues to be seen across the country, we're excited to provide this attractive incentive program so more children can have access to a nearby Kumon Math and Reading Center in their community."
Kumon continues to lead the way in the supplemental education industry, recently being ranked the number one tutoring franchise in Entrepreneur's annual Franchise 500 issue for the 15th consecutive year and named a 2016 "Best of the Best" in the tutoring category for the 18th time.
