World Record Holder and Long Drive Champion Joins Back9Network as Newest Brand Ambassador

HARTFORD, Conn., April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Back9Network, the golf lifestyle multiplatform media network, announced today that world record holder, former long drive champion, and professional long driver and instructor, Mike Dobbyn, has joined the network as an ambassador and contributor.  Dobbyn will contribute video and editorial content to Back9Network.com surrounding golf fitness and instruction.

Dobbyn, now in his 11^th year in the sport of long drive, owns the world record for golf's longest drive in a sanctioned professional golf tournament at 551 yards. He also won the 2007 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship and has reached the finals on three separate occasions. Dobbyn stands 6'8", weighs 300 lbs., has a size 18 foot, and a jacket size of 60 extra-extra long. He swings his driver in competition on average between 145-152 mph and has been clocked on a launch monitor as high as 163 mph.
