World Premiere of Feature Film Good Enough at the Boston International Film Festival
BOSTON, April 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Writer/Director and Actress AnnaRose King, originally from Beverly Farms comes back home to Massachusetts to premiere her first-feature film "GOOD ENOUGH" at the Boston International Film Festival.
"Good Enough" is a coming of age, comedic drama that asks the question, does your past dictate your future? When Lorna Flynn, a New York City based flight attendant, discovers her estranged father passes she wants to know more, but is frustrated at what little there is to find. When she learns that her Dad had a brother she never knew about, she sets off on a journey to find this long, lost uncle believing he may hold the key to understanding more about her father and, thus, herself.
The film stars AnnaRose King along with talented improviser Ted Tremper ("Shrink"; "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah"), James Caan ("The Godfather", "Elf"), Delaney Williams ("The Wire"; "Law & Order"), Ilana Becker ("Girl Code"; "Odd Mom Out"), Todd Bartels ("Damsels in Distress"), Becky Yamamoto ("Broad City"), Max Loeb (Yahoo's "We Need Help"), Sofiya Akilova ("Listen Up Philip"; "Madam Secretary"); Jennifer Dorr White ("The Onion News Network"), and Peter Moore (lead singer in Count Zero, Boston based rock band who created "Undertow" the film's original song along with Sarah Rabdau who are both from Malden, MA). Additionally, the original music was created by Josh Moshier of Cambridge, MA.
AnnaRose King graduated NYU's prestigious graduate film program at Tisch School of the Arts. She was also recently featured in IndieWire's Springboard for women to watch in comedy for her web series "American Viral" starring Michael Showalter ("Wet Hot American Summer") and with guest appearances from Janeane Garofalo and David Wain. "Good Enough" is her first feature film. Her next film in development is the highly anticipated "Treasure Island!!!" adapted from the novel of the same name for James Franco's company Rabbit Bandini.

ABOUT ANNAROSE KING: She is a New York-based filmmaker and actor, currently living in Hong Kong. She co-created, wrote, and directed the web series "American Viral" starring Michael Showalter for Thundershorts (Snag Films' ad-supported comedy destination). She's directed several series for NYLON MAGAZINE with LaTiDa Productions, a female film collective she co-founded. Her short films have screened at festivals nationally and internationally including her documentary "Tigger!" which screened as Coup d'Coeur in the Short Film Corner at Cannes. "Good Enough," is her first feature film. She holds a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College and completed a Masters of Fine Arts degree from NYU's graduate filmmaking program in 2014.
