WorkSmart Sponsors Statewide Nonprofit Conference & Public Policy Forum
Organization Providing N.C. Center for Nonprofit Conference with "Green" Handouts
DURHAM, N.C., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- WorkSmart, a leading provider of Information Technology services in North Carolina, announced today its sponsorship of the N.C. Center for Nonprofits' 2010 Conference & Public Policy Forum, Nonprofits in a New Reality. The conference will be held September 29-30 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Research Triangle Park. Through this sponsorship, WorkSmart is supporting hundreds of local nonprofits, seeking ways to improve their organizations.
"Nonprofit staff, board and volunteers will convene to learn from each other and from speakers across the U.S. They will address the myriad of issues involved in leading a nonprofit to make a true difference in today's complex world," said Trisha Lester, Vice President of the N.C. Center for Nonprofits.
In conjunction with their sponsorship, WorkSmart is donating USB keys to each conference attendee. Each USB key will be preloaded with conference material to help keep the conference environmentally friendly.
"The Center strives for a green event. With more than 800 participants registered, the donated jump drives are one way we can limit paper usage and reduce our carbon footprint," said Lester.
In 2006, the N.C. Center for Nonprofits selected WorkSmart as an Information Technology partner. WorkSmart offers hands on consulting, ongoing support and discounts to nonprofit organizations.
"The N.C. Center is committed to helping North Carolina nonprofits," said WorkSmart President & CEO, Ron Unger, "and we are happy to partner with the N.C. Center for Nonprofits in that effort."
