Workforce Alliance and The Lord's Place to offer Expanded Job Training Program for Ex-Offenders
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Workforce Alliance recently awarded a grant to The Lord's Place, a community organization, to address the increasing need for job training and employment for ex-offenders in Palm Beach County. The Lord's Place, selected for the grant after a competitive bid process, has a job training program in partnership with the Department of Children and Families' Jail Diversion Program and links to federal, state and community resources.
The program will provide intensive case management and on-the-job training through apprenticeships. Ten men and ten women will be selected to participate in vocational assessments, job coaching, the on-the-job training and ongoing follow-up counseling.
