These workers will call on elected leaders to grow the state's revenue pie and restore the governor's proposed radical cuts to education and health care, which can be done simply by closing glaring corporate tax loopholes.
Community leaders and workers understand these are hard times, and everyone must sacrifice. However, the governor's budget calls for sacrifice only from students, teachers, homeowners, seniors, health care workers, and working families, while letting wealthy corporations, especially out-of-state Marcellus shale drillers, avoid making any sacrifice at all to fund vitally needed state services.
