MILWAUKEE, Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On February 25th The Wooster Brush Company joined Ace Hardware and Valspar Corporation personnel in turning an educational event into a good deed for the VETS Place Central housing facility.
The easiest way to learn is by doing—that's why Wooster Brush sales personnel frequently conduct product knowledge training sessions for store employees. Through a donation of tools and time, Wooster Brush spent a day educating Ace Hardware personnel about selecting the best tools for various coating jobs while demonstrating proper painting techniques.
"It was a rewarding experience—bringing together Ace associates, and representatives from Valspar and Wooster to brighten the rooms where homeless veterans will be given shelter. At the same time, participants were exposed to practical experience and product knowledge of Chinex® FTP™ & Silver Tip™ paintbrushes, Pro/Doo-Z® FTP™ roller covers, as well as Sherlock® roller frames and extension poles," said Bill Loeb, district manager for The Wooster Brush Company.
Sixteen gallons of "Warm Oatmeal" Optimus™ Interior Paint were donated by Valspar Corporation for this project. To learn more about Valspar coatings visit valsparpaint.com.
More than 15 volunteers from Ace Hardware locations around the Milwaukee area painted four rooms at the VETS Place Central facility on February 25th. Visit acehardware.com to learn more about Ace Hardware and to find a location near you.
