WoodWing Announces Alliance With Adobe - Aysling Digital Media Solutions Begins Working With Clients to Start Migration
New delivery method for tablet publishing
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- With today's announcement regarding the WoodWing Software and Adobe digital publishing alliance, Aysling Digital Media Solutions stands ready to migrate its clients to Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.
The strategy focus is on tablet publishing, with WoodWing phasing out its Reader Application plus Content Delivery Service (CDS), allowing WoodWing to concentrate on expanding its Cross-Media Publishing, including the Digital Magazine Tools.
"Aysling will begin working with its client base to help them understand the migration path to ensure a successful move to Adobe's Digital Publishing Suite," states Patrick Becker, President of Aysling Digital Media Solutions. "As a solution partner to both WoodWing and Adobe, Aysling stands ready to help both Adobe and WoodWing clients understand and implement digital publishing solutions given our approach, knowledge base and history for delivering exceptional cross-media solutions for the publishing industry."
"WoodWing clients will experience no disruption in products or services," states Shawn Duffy, the Managing Director at WoodWing USA. "Given the increasing demand for cost-effective publishing solutions, this alliance will help support and grow our customer base."
WoodWing will now support the Digital Publishing Suite .folio file format giving users the ability to create .folio files within Content Station and automatically upload them to Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. WoodWing will retire the .ofip format. WoodWing will immediately begin selling Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, offering a very attractive migration path to existing WoodWing customers, making the transition from WoodWing's current Content Delivery Service and Reader application to Adobe Digital Publishing Suite as smooth as possible. The transition period will end in November 2012, at which point all current customers are expected to be transitioned to Adobe Digital Publishing Suite for delivery of content to tablets, and support for WoodWing readers and Content Delivery Service will cease. An immediate benefit for customer migrating to Adobe Digital Publishing Suite is the ability to create branded applications directly within Digital Publishing Suite and access to integrated analytics, powered by Adobe Online Marketing Suite (Omniture).
