Cast and Crew president is School of Business Alumnus of the Year
BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Business and community leader C. Edward Spiegel will be honored by his alma mater with the Woodbury University School of Business Alumnus of the Year Award. The award recognizes an extraordinary individual who has set a high standard in their chosen profession, and will be presented to Spiegel during a February 11 luncheon at the California Club in Los Angeles.
Spiegel graduated from Woodbury in 1960 and has served on the Woodbury University Board of Trustees since 2003.A practicing CPA for more than 25 years, the Southern California native was a partner in the firm of Levin, Cooper, Spiegel & Co., then one of the largest local accounting firms in Los Angeles. He is now an owner and president of Cast & Crew Entertainment Services, a provider of payroll and software to the entertainment industry.
Throughout his accounting career, Spiegel was an active participant in the California Society of CPAs, serving on local and statewide committees, including the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee. He also prepared educational material and gave talks to accounting groups and other organizations. In addition, Spiegel has participated in many community and philanthropic activities.
