Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices' Top Executive Will Address Graduate and Undergraduate Students on May 7, Receive Honorary Doctorate in Leadership
LOS ANGELES, March 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Eugene A. Blefari, the high-energy leader of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices real estate brokerage network, will deliver the keynote address to Woodbury University's Class of 2016 during graduation ceremonies May 7, the university announced today. As part of the festivities, Woodbury will bestow an honorary doctorate in Leadership on Blefari.

Blefari entered real estate on the ground floor and, with a relentless work ethic and boundless enthusiasm, became an award-winning agent, manager and broker/owner. He founded Silicon Valley-based Intero Real Estate Services, Inc., in 2002 and the firm became one of the fastest organically growing companies in real estate history.
As CEO of HSF Affiliates, Blefari now oversees Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices – the fastest-growing real estate brokerage network in America – plus Prudential Real Estate and Real Living Real Estate. The network includes more than 47,000 agents and 1,500 offices in 48 states.
Blefari is hardly an ivory-tower-style executive, however. He's often found at a local affiliate office or event providing his perspectives and motivational instruction to help network and industry professionals achieve their goals.
"Eugene Blefari's success story is cut right out of the American dream, in which a working-class kid follows his passion and with motivation, focus and enthusiasm becomes one of his industry's top executives," said Dr. David Steele, Woodbury University President. "Gino's energy is contagious and he is a terrific leader and motivator. We are excited he has accepted our invitation to address the Class of 2016 as graduation speaker."
"I'm thrilled and proud to address Woodbury's 2016 graduates on their monumental day," said Blefari. "The group is as gloriously diverse as our country itself and representative of America's bright future. Graduates have worked hard for their degrees and that strong work ethic will propel them into their professions and the next phase of life. I'm excited for the class of 2016 and all that its members will achieve."
