Woodbury University Appoints Wells Fargo's Marla Vasquez to Board of Trustees
BURBANK, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Woodbury University today announced the appointment of banker Marla Vasquez to the Board of Trustees.
Vasquez is senior vice president and regional president for Wells Fargo's San Fernando Valley Community Bank. She oversees 950 team members and 38 banking stores with more than $5 billion in deposits. In 2009, the San Fernando Valley Business Journal named Vasquez among the top businesswomen in the region with its "Executive Newcomer Award." Consistently recognized for her leadership and sales performance, Vasquez is a five-time winner of Wells Fargo's annual sales and service award for top performing regional bankers.
Vasquez has been active throughout her career in numerous nonprofits and community events. She currently serves on the board of the Valley Industry Commerce Association (VICA). She earned a bachelor's degree with a double major in business management and psychology from Rocky Mountain College in Montana, and a master's in psychology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. In 2005, she graduated from the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. Vasquez resides with her husband in Santa Clarita.
