Wood Group GTS awarded over $4 million of maintenance services on multiple steam turbines

ALPHARETTA, Ga., April 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wood Group GTS has completed two steam turbine major inspections and received awards for three additional steam turbine outages from five US power plants. The cumulative $4.2 million in services are scheduled to be completed in the first half of this year.

A steam turbine outage requires thorough component inspections, expedited repairs and a detailed project plan that incorporates the ability to replace damaged parts within the scheduled outage window.  Wood Group GTS provides a single point of contact to manage the project, a core team of skilled technical specialists and inspectors, mobile tooling containers, and the on-site consumable kits needed to meet customer expectations.
