Wood Group GTS awarded contract for controls upgrade hydroelectric generating station
HOUSTON, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wood Group GTS has secured a contract for the upgrade of plant controls on five hydroelectric units at a generating station in Kentucky. The work scope involves replacement of outdated equipment with modern PLC-based controls to upgrade hardware and software to ensure compatibility across all the generating units at this site. Work will commence immediately and should be completed by or before December 2014.
