Christopher has devoted his life to helping children. He and his wife have been parents to foster children, some with special needs, for more than 10 years. In addition to providing a caring and nurturing home for his family, Christopher supports his children's strengths and encourages their dreams. Whether it's learning to play an instrument or joining the football team, no dream is out of reach. He also works to instill in his children a commitment to giving back by encouraging them to do one good deed a week for someone they do not know.
"Wonder honors individuals committed to bettering the lives of others," said Ann Oades, Director of Premium Bread Marketing for the bakers of Wonder. "Christopher has dedicated himself to making a difference by providing compassion, support and encouragement to children in need. We are proud to call him a Wonder Dad Hero."
As Wonder Dad Hero, Christopher will have his picture and story featured on millions of limited edition Wonder bread packages that will be in stores surrounding the Father's Day holiday. His story was selected from hundreds of entries submitted on the Wonder bread Facebook page.
"It's an honor to be named Wonder Dad," said Christopher. "I owe it to my children, who are my inspiration, and have taught me the true meaning of unconditional love."
As previously announced, in honor of its Wonder Heroes, including Christopher, Wonder has made a $100,000 contribution to the USO®, in support of its United Through Reading® Military program. The program's goal is to ease the stress of separation for military families by having deployed parents read children's books aloud on DVD for their children to watch at home.,
