WESTBOROUGH, Mass., May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Channel Company announced today that its third annual Women of the Channel West Conference has doubled in size and sold out in record time. The Women of the Channel West Conference, to be held May 16-17 at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif., brings together female leaders in sales, marketing, and channel partner and alliance management from a wide range of IT solution providers and tech supplier organizations.
The Channel Company launched Women of the Channel West as part of an effort to better serve women who are looking to advance their careers and improve their organization's channel initiatives. The event was an outgrowth of the Women of the Channel Leadership Summit, which takes place annually in New York City. The event brings together many of the women and organizations represented on CRN's annual Women of the Channel list, and has encouraged hundreds of women technology leaders to share and learn from one another's experiences.
Key content sessions focus on growth strategies for startups and large organizations, personal branding, career development, the changing solution provider landscape and technology trends. In addition, The Channel Company will debut the findings of an extensive survey of women executives on career advancement, challenges and opportunities, the gender gap and channel innovation.
"This year's Women of the Channel West has a strong focus on channel innovators and entrepreneurs, many of whom are working for startups and innovative companies based in the Silicon Valley and Bay Area," said Lisa MacKenzie, partner and senior vice president, The Channel Company. "While the Valley's pace of technological innovation has accelerated, innovation in channel marketing, sales and partnering is also advancing at a record pace. This conference helps women understand how they can adapt to these market changes and adjust their skill sets to succeed."
