Women in Localization Co-founder to Host Mentoring and Career Development Workshop at GALA 2017
SAN JOSE, Calif., March 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Women in Localization, the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry and official partner to GALA, is delighted to offer a mentoring and career development workshop at the upcoming GALA Annual Conference in Amsterdam.
This 90-minute workshop will be hosted by Silvia Avary-Silveira, Co-Founder of Women in Localization, and will provide an introduction to Mentoring followed by small group discussions and hands-on role plays. Collaborating with Silvia will be localization industry veterans Helena Johansson, Stefania Russo and María Jesús de Arriba Díaz who will lead the small groups and practicum. The workshop will demonstrate how mentoring works and what to expect from a mentor-mentee relationship with the goal of helping participants capitalize their career growth in a mindful, structured path for success. Additionally, the workshop will examine careers path options in the localization industry, résumé tips and growth and continuing education strategies to stay relevant in today's competitive landscape.
