PITTSBURGH, March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wombat Security Technologies (Wombat), the leading provider of cyber security awareness and training, today announces it will debut the addition of a second theme to its recently released Awareness Video Campaigns at the South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals next week.
Last month at RSA Conference, Wombat announced the release of its very first Awareness Video Campaign, an extension of its Security Awareness Materials. The Awareness Video Campaigns include videos coupled with posters and images which the company designed to help its customers create a culture of security awareness by reinforcing the security conversation with end users. The first series, "Great Saves," features a lively and security-minded soccer goalie designed to keep the topics of free WiFi, phishing, and protecting healthcare and confidential information top of mind in organizations.
"Our first set of Awareness Video Campaigns have been widely accepted by our customers and their feedback encouraged us to move quickly to create another theme to help organizations of all sizes keep security top of mind for their end users," said Amy Baker, Vice President of Marketing at Wombat Security.
This additional theme, "Don't Let Thieves In," is as lighthearted as the first series and features end users making security mistakes in the workplace that unknowingly engages thieves donning black masks and knit caps in to their office to steal important information. Topics covered in this set of videos and posters are:
- Social Media
- Physical Security
- Ransomware
These new Awareness Video Campaigns are not intended to be a replacement to training, rather they are meant to introduce employees to the importance of security and awareness training and remind them that simple changes to their daily routine can make a difference. Customers licensing this new offering will receive:
- Videos: Each video is less than a minute in length and has an element of humor to ensure they are memorable.
- Posters: The posters use design elements and key messages from the videos and can be placed around organizations to further enhance awareness initiatives and keep the conversation going.
- Images: Key Images will be made available so that organizations can create signs, giveaways, screensavers, and other visual elements to build complete awareness campaigns.
Customers will be allowed to add custom content to the beginning and end of each video and customize the posters and images to include their logo and other company-specific content.
Wombat Security is the sponsor of CSM Passcode's booth at SXSW this year, and will be debuting the videos in their booth #410 at the SXSW Tradeshow at the Austin Convention Center March 10-14, 2017. Wombat's Director of Partner Channel and Alliances, Mike Nobers, will also be presenting in the booth on Sunday, March 12 on the evolution of end user risk and behavior change in the workplace.
