PITTSBURGH, Feb. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wombat Security Technologies (Wombat), the leading provider of cyber security awareness and training, today announces the addition of Awareness Video Campaigns that include videos coupled with posters and images to its Security Awareness Materials portfolio, which is designed to create a culture of security awareness by reinforcing the security conversation with end users.
This new offering is a result of interactive discussion at Wombat's annual in-person user conference, Wombat Wisdom, in late 2016. At the conference a theme of awareness emerged during customer presentations where customers shared stories of internal obstacles and the successes of their security awareness and training programs. Wombat is delivering the new awareness videos in direct response to customer requests for additional solutions to raise awareness in end users.
"We saw first-hand how many of our customers were creating awareness tools themselves to support larger security awareness and education campaigns to help keep security top of mind for their end users," said Joe Ferrara, President and CEO of Wombat. "It's challenging for many organizations that don't have the budget to hire advertising agencies or media companies to create high quality awareness materials and that's where we can help."
These new Awareness Video Campaigns are not intended to be a replacement to training, rather they are meant to introduce employees to the importance of security and awareness training and remind them that simple changes to their daily routine can make a difference. Customers licensing this new offering will receive:
- Videos: Each video is less than a minute in length and has an element of humor to ensure they are memorable.
- Posters: The posters use design elements and key messages from the videos and can be placed around organizations to further enhance awareness initiatives and keep the conversation going.
- Images: Key Images will be made available so that organizations can create signs, giveaways, screensavers, and other visual elements to build complete awareness campaigns.
Customers will be allowed to add custom content to the beginning and end of each video; and customize the posters and images to include their logo and other company-specific content.
The first themed series, "Great Saves" features a lively and security-minded soccer goalie and focuses on the following topics:
- Free WiFi
- Phishing
- Protecting Healthcare Information
- Protecting Confidential Data
Additional themed series focusing around the topics of physical security, safe social media use and ransomware will be coming soon. Translations for all Awareness Video Campaigns are also expected in summer of 2017.
"Implementing a Continuous Training Methodology is key to securing organizations. Creative content supports an open dialogue about best practices, and building out our Security Awareness Materials is yet another way we can support our customers to help achieve their goals," said Ferrara.
