Wolters Kluwer Health Implements Additional RightsLink® Capabilities
Leading Healthcare Information Provider Utilizes Copyright Clearance Center Premium Service to Automate its Book Publication Permissions Process
PHILADELPHIA, April 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolters Kluwer Health and Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC) announce that Wolters Kluwer Health's Professional & Education unit has implemented CCC's RightsLink® Premium to manage copyright permissions for its Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) book publications. RightsLink services are already available for LWW journals. The new book-related service is now available when browsing title-specific information on the publisher's Website at lww.com.
RightsLink streamlines a publisher's permissions business by allowing customers to order permissions directly at the point of content – both on the Web and through mobile apps. RightsLink Premium is a sophisticated transactional engine that enables publishers to tailor their licensing options according to their specific business rules and pricing needs.
"RightsLink Premium is a great service, both for us and for our customers," said Susan Driscoll, CEO, Professional and Education, Wolters Kluwer Health. "It makes it easier and quicker for customers to request permissions, and more efficient for us to process requests and generate reports."
"RightsLink Premium helps publishers generate new revenue and improve customer satisfaction," said Miles McNamee, VP, Licensing and Business Development, CCC. "Additionally, it provides publishers with valuable insight into customer buying behavior."
