CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Dec. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolfram|Alpha, the computational knowledge engine, has launched a video contest. The contest asks applicants to produce a creative ad for WolframAlpha.com.
Users should submit videos revealing their favorite and most ingenious Wolfram|Alpha uses. Videos can be submitted by anyone, as long as they stay between six seconds and three minutes in length. We encourage users to be as creative as possible, while remaining appropriate for the general public to view.
"One of my favorite parts of working with Wolfram|Alpha is hearing the creative, thoughtful, and often surprising ways our users are applying it to their lives," said Clayton Voyles, business director. "We started Wolfram|Alpha with the intent to make the world's knowledge and data accessible to all, and now we'd like to give people the chance to show the world what that means for them."
A panel from the Wolfram|Alpha team will judge the entries, with the top contestants each able to win SXSW passes, cash prizes, or the opportunity to intern at the company. All video submissions are due by February 14, 2016, and the winners will be announced in late February. To learn more about the submission process, visit wolframalpha.com/contest.
