WNET Launches MHz Worldview in the NYC Metro Area
WASHINGTON and NEW YORK, Dec. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MHz Networks and public media station WNET have announced a joint agreement to launch MHz Networks' premium channel MHz Worldview in the New York City metropolitan area.
MHz Worldview features news broadcasts and scripted entertainment from more than 15 countries and will launch on WNET's digital channels in high definition on 14.1 and in standard definition on 46.1. WNET joins an expanding line-up of 20+ public television stations in the U.S. carrying MHz Worldview that includes partner stations in Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Utah, Denver and Washington, D.C.
In addition to live daily news blocks from France's premiere news network France 24 and Germany's preeminent news service Deutsche Welle, viewers will be able to enjoy select titles from MHz Networks' catalog of popular mysteries, dramas and comedies. MHz Worldview's prime time line-up includes Andrea Camilleri's Detective Montalbano, critically acclaimed WWII drama A French Village and International Emmy® Award-Winning French cop drama Spiral. MHz Worldview is currently only available to viewers with an over-the-air antenna or receiver. Viewers should rescan their over-the-air equipment to ensure proper reception of the channels.
