IRVINE, Calif., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- WiSpry, Inc., the leader in tunable radio frequency (RF) semiconductor products for the wireless industry, today announced that Jeffrey Hilbert has been promoted to lead the company as its president, effective Monday, May 24, 2010. Hilbert, who is the founder of WiSpry, and served as its past president and chief operating officer, intends to build on the company's development success by beginning to ship the industry's first tunable RF-MEMS enabled products tailored to optimizing antenna efficiencies providing increased battery life, improved quality of service and lower overall costs.
"Over the last three years, Jeff has continued to expand his responsibilities, leading many of the company's day-to-day operations. Jeff's expanded management role, coupled with his ability to significantly improve the company's execution, made my recommendation for this change very easy," said Russ Garcia, current CEO of WiSpry. "As we get closer to high volume production of our products, Jeff's expertise in development execution, integrated MEMS manufacturing operations and delivery of our revolutionary products into the cellular phone handset market will be crucial."
Mr. Garcia will continue to serve on WiSpry's Board of Directors as vice chairman and will continue to work closely with the Company's management team and Board on a variety of operational and strategic issues.
"With the market strategy and product roadmap well validated and key strategic relationships now well established, the next several months are all about execution," said Paul Conley, WiSpry Board member and a lead investor. "The Board ultimately decided that Russ had advanced into more of a governance and oversight role, allowing Jeff to continue on in the role of executive leader."
