NEW YORK, April 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Women in Sports and Events (WISE), the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports, today announced that Casey Wasserman, chairman and CEO of Wasserman Media Group, will be presented with the 2015 WISE Champion Award during the upcoming 2015 WISE Women of the Year Awards Luncheon on June 16 in New York City.
The WISE Champion Award annually recognizes a male executive who has championed the advancement of women in the workplace. Past recipients of the WISE Champion Award include Ross Greenburg, former president of HBO Sports; Sean McManus, CBS Sports chairman; and Dick Ebersol, former chairman of NBC Sports.

- Shows consistent commitment to the promotion of women's careers and recognition of their professional accomplishments
As previously announced, the 2015 WISE Women of the Year honorees are Amy Latimer, president of TD Garden; Lara Price, executive vice president, business operations of the Philadelphia 76ers; and Mary Scott, president of United Entertainment Group, an Edelman Company.
