The state's open enrollment period is February 1 - 19.
These events will give families the opportunity to learn more about WIVA and virtual schooling, and speak with school representatives.
The WIVA Education xPos include a special free planetarium presentation (Madison - Feb. 11th, noon – 2:30pm), free admission to Discovery World Museum (Milwaukee - Feb. 12th, 10am - 1pm), and free admission for kids into the Breaker Bay Indoor Waterpark (Sheboygan - Feb. 13th, 10am - 1pm).

"We've already received numerous calls and emails from families across Wisconsin interested enrolling," said WIVA Head of School Leslye Erickson. "We are having a very successful year and our school community is extremely enthusiastic. Our teachers, parents, students, and staff are excited to participate in the events, meet with prospective families, and showcase why WIVA has become such a popular school choice for Wisconsin families."
WIVA is a tuition-free, statewide public virtual charter school authorized by the McFarland School District, and the only school in state to offer the complete K12 program. It is available to all Wisconsin families with children in kindergarten through high school. At WIVA, students are able to receive a complete, high quality education at home, on the road, or wherever an Internet connection can be found.
"The McFarland school district is proud of Wisconsin Virtual Academy's success," said Scott Brown, Superintendent of McFarland School District. "WIVA's talented teachers, highly engaged parents, and dedicated staff make it an excellent school option for Wisconsin families."
Students who enroll in WIVA receive the award-winning academic program developed by K12 Inc., the nation's largest provider of K-12 online school programs. The K12 curriculum includes engaging web-based lessons along with instructional materials – books, videos, CDs, and other hands-on tools and resources – which are shipped directly to each student's home. WIVA teachers provide instruction, guidance and support, and regularly interact with students and parents via email, web-based classrooms, online discussions, phone, and face-to-face meetings. Teachers also organize numerous field trips and school activities.
