Wireless Glue Networks Issued Patent for "Providing an Area Network Middleware Interface"
New patent reinforces the value of software to bridge protocol gaps between differing hardware systems
PLEASANTON, Calif., Aug. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wireless Glue Networks, Inc., the industry leader in providing real-time data and control on a single machine-to-machine (M2M) platform announced today it has been issued patent No. 8,488,624, dated July 16, 2013, by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The patent covers a method for achieving cross network communication among multiple devices communicating on different protocols in a highly flexible and extensible manner. The method allows connectivity of the numerous legacy hardware systems that exist using different object models. It is useful in a wide-variety of M2M applications, including extension of the smart grid for demand-side energy management.
