Winter Wonderland: Colorado's Coolest Snow Destinations For Families

Aspen/Snowmass. Families are invited to Elk Camp at Snowmass, which transforms on Friday Ullr Nights into a winter wonderland, and Little Nell in Aspen, which is hosting cooking classes for kids four and older. Families can book the Perfect Holiday package where kids ski, rent equipment and eat lunch free with the purchase of adult tickets and rentals.
Copper. Copper Mountain presents Woodward at Copper's Barn, a 19,400-square-foot indoor playground. Guests who book the One. Two. Free! package and book two nights of lodging and two days of rentals receive a third night of lodging and a third day of rentals free, along with free skiing for kids 12 and younger.
Crested Butte. Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) is introducing mini Elk Avenue (Crested Butte's Main Street) along its trails. CBMR features the Adventure Park with a Zero Gravity BagJump and rock-climbing wall. The Grandest Christmas package includes four nights at Grand Lodge, three days of skiing and three days of Adventure Park access.
Durango. The Polar Express on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad invites kids to the "North Pole" to see Santa. Durango Dog Ranch offers dog sledding with hour-long, hands-on experiences. The Kids Ski Free package includes free kids' lift tickets with the purchase of four nights of lodging and four days of adult lift tickets.
Glenwood Springs. Just south of Glenwood Springs, Sunlight Mountain Resort has one of the longest runs in the state. Sunlight's Ski Swim Stay package offers lift tickets, admission to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, lodging and free skiing for kids 12 and under with a paying adult.
Keystone. Keystone Resort offers a Kids Ski Free program with no blackout dates or lift ticket requirements for adults and only a two-night minimum stay required. The Resort is introducing its first-ever family ski trail, The Schoolyard, to debut on Keystone's signature green cruiser, Schoolmarm.
Steamboat Springs. Steamboat Springs features kids-only lifts, private full- and half-day lessons and Sunshine Family Trail. When a parent/grandparent purchases a 5-or-more-day adult lift ticket or rental, one child/grandchild age 12 and under receives a free lift ticket and rental.
