NEW YORK, June 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Winston & Strawn LLP announced today that John D. Roesser joined its litigation practice in New York as a partner, where his practice will focus on securities and other complex financial litigation. He joins Winston from Seyfarth Shaw LLP.

Over the course of his 15-year career, Roesser has gained particular experience counseling and defending Fortune 100 companies and financial service providers in securities litigation and SEC investigations involving the 1933, 1934, and 1940 acts. Roesser also is noted for his successful defense of breach of fiduciary duty and other corporate governance actions, as well as disputes arising out of swaps and derivative products. In addition, he has successfully represented clients in numerous general corporate litigation and international arbitration cases.
