Winstead's FANtastic Fundraiser Delivers a Cool Breeze this Summer

DALLAS, July 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Winstead PC once again gave back to the community this summer with a fundraiser to help senior citizens stay cool. Winstead attorneys and support staff in each city purchased new fans for seniors and collaborated with a local charity to get the fans distributed. Many seniors live in homes that don't provide enough ventilation and insulation to help them stay cool in these hot summer months.

Winstead offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, The Woodlands, Austin, and San Antonio, Texas, as well as Charlotte, North Carolina, collected a total of 306 fans. The fans collected ranged from box to pedestal fans. The participation rate in nearly every Winstead office was over 80 percent (employees and attorneys who donated money or purchased fans).

In Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston, Winstead delivered the fans to Meals on Wheels. The Woodlands Winstead Office delivered fans to Interfaith of The Woodlands. Austin delivered fans to Family Eldercare, San Antonio delivered fans to the local fire department, and Charlotte delivered fans to Friendship Trays. All of the charitable organizations worked closely with staff from the Winstead offices to make sure the fans were delivered to seniors in time for the July 4th weekend.
