Winners Announced for Third Annual Kids@Play Interactive "KAPi" Awards at 2012 International CES
KAPi Awards Celebrate Digital Innovation for Kids
NEW YORK, Dec. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Winners of the third annual Kids@Play Interactive – "KAPi" awards were announced today, recognizing the most innovative games, software, devices and apps for educating, entertaining and communicating with today's connected children. The KAPi Award ceremony will take place in Las Vegas on Thursday, January 12, at 6:00pm at the Fashion Show Mall.
The 13 judges for this year's KAPi Awards are respected journalists and children's interactive media publishers who reviewed 635 children's technology products – all released in the past 12 months. The 2012 KAPi Award winners are:
- App for Younger Children – DoodleCast for Kids by zinc Roe;
- App for Older Children – Bobo Explores Light by GameCollage LLC;
- Children's eBook – Cinderella Nosy Crow Animated Picture Book by Nosy Crow;
- Video Game – Once Upon a Monster by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment, Inc.;
- Hardware – iPad 2 by Apple;
- Technology Toy – Disney AppMates by Disney Consumer Products;
- Education– Noodle Words by Noodleworks;
- Virtual World – MineCraft by Mojang;
- Emerging Pioneer – Ge Wang, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Smule;
- Pioneer – Mark Schlichting, Creator of the Broderbund Living Books.

The KAPi Awards were created by Children's Technology Review and Living in Digital Times, the organizers of the Kids@Play Summit at International CES January 10-13, 2012 - a conference and exhibition located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
