Leading Personal Injury Attorney Offers Scholarship to Student Attending Baylor University in Fall 2015

HOUSTON, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Terry Bryant Accident & Injury Law announced today the first recipient of the Terry Bryant College Scholarship Program is Kaitlyn Morris of Fort Worth, Texas. Ms. Morris is a Senior with a 4.0 GPA. She plans to attend Baylor University in the Fall of 2015 with a major in Computer Science.

The Terry Bryant College Scholarship Program was open to all high school seniors planning on seeking a degree at an accredited four-year university. This year, the subject of the entry addressed the dangers of drunk driving, underage drinking, or distracted driving and how to prevent them. A committee of judges evaluated each entrant based on the quality of their presentation, their academic achievement and potential, their community and school involvement, and any volunteer work they have performed.

Ms. Morris's essay related to the distraction of texting while driving. "Kaitlyn wrote an eloquent assessment of the current issues relating to the tangible consequences of texting while driving," said Terry Bryant. "We were impressed with her thought-provoking and insightful approach and suggestions, as well as her excellent writing skills."

Ms. Morris will receive a $2,500 scholarship disbursed in a single installment to help pay for her first year of college. Upon notification that she was the recipient of the scholarship, Ms. Morris stated, "Thank you so much again for choosing me. I'm very excited. I can go to college now and actually just learn. I don't have to panic about money anymore! It's so exciting! It's like I got accepted all over again!"
