AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Epicor Software Corporation, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, announced today that Winix America, a global manufacturer of air cleaners, air washers, and water filtration, has selected the global enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution Epicor ERP, deployed in the cloud, to fit its growing business and enhance operational efficiency.
"Our business has grown exponentially over the last few years, especially in the North American markets. With that growth, we have simply outgrown our previous technology systems—they could not keep up with the increasing complexity of our business," said Tony Kircher, president, Winix America. "We began looking for a new ERP system to manage everything from sales lead to cash. We looked at five different ERP systems, but Epicor was the leading provider for us. Epicor ERP in the cloud was the closest to an out-of-the-box system that would fit our needs, and it was also the most intuitive and user-friendly compared to the other systems that we evaluated."
Expanding on how Epicor ERP is projected to influence Winix's business growth, Kircher continued, "There are two things about Epicor ERP that are really exciting to us. One is the integration of EDI and the other is our ability to manage inventory from the factory in South Korea all the way through to sales and returns. These processes are vital for our operations and Epicor ERP deployed in the cloud will help eliminate our business' manual processes in a big way so that we will be able to simplify practices and refocus our people on more productive activities."
Partnering directly with Epicor, Winix expects to reduce the amount of inventory that they have to carry because they will be able to forecast more accurately and gain better visibility to where items are processed. Being able to access real-time data from the Epicor ERP system will help them improve operational efficiency across the entire organization, from planning through to production.
"Epicor ERP in the cloud will certainly keep us competitive," concluded Kircher. "If we're not performing for the big retailers, we're not going to be their vendor for very long so making sure that we get the products to them on time is an essential part of our business. Failure to deliver is not an option and with Epicor in place we will maintain this quality of production and service."
"Winix America is a perfect example of a global manufacturer that can free its business to focus on growth after implementing Epicor ERP," said Scott Hays, senior vice president, product marketing, Epicor Software. "The solution and cloud deployment fits their business, is easy to use, and will allow Winix to remain competitive in its distinct market."
