Wingstop's Strong Growth Continues in the Third Quarter
National ranking, new restaurant openings, sales increases highlight period
RICHARDSON, Texas, Oct. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wingstop served up another strong quarter, opening 16 restaurants and generating an 8.6 percent increase in same store sales from July through September. For the year, Wingstop's same store sales growth is 10.6 percent.
So far in 2013, Wingstop restaurants have produced $457 million in worldwide sales, a 27 percent increase over 2012. In addition to strong sales, Wingstop announced 20 new development deals in the third quarter while opening new restaurants in Northern Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, California, Oregon and Texas.

Wingstop is on track to finish the year with 65 new U.S. locations, and has significantly expanded its presence in the Northeast and Southeast. Wingstop is well on the way to reaching its goal of 1,000 locations in five years. In addition, international agreements in Russia, Singapore, and Mexico will add to more than 590 locations worldwide.
