Wines of Portugal Set to Showcase over 50 Portuguese Wineries across US

NEW YORK, April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wines of Portugal, in partnership with Full Circle Wine Solutions, announces this year's annual grand tasting tour in four top US markets:  New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago and San Francisco.  The phenomenal success of Portuguese wines in the United States, led the Wines of Portugal team to increase the number of cities visited for this year's spring tasting events.  As indicated from the agency's report earlier this year, export of Portuguese table wines to the United States has increased 15% in the first ten months of 2012 alone.

"With the United States already the 6^th largest export market for Portuguese wines," says Nuno Vale of Wines of Portugal. "It only seemed natural for us to bring a variety of Portuguese wineries to more American cities in order to capitalize on the growing interest and excitement shown by American wine drinkers."

Expecting over 600 attendees in each city, these tastings will allow trade, media and consumers the opportunity to taste the vast range of Portuguese wines that highlight the current quality selection available from over 50 excellent Portuguese wineries.  At both the trade and consumer tastings, international appetizers will be served, highlighting the versatility of Portuguese wines with a variety of cuisines.
