Window Film Experts See Increased Growth Ahead
International Window Film Association Event Delivers Smart Practices For Window Film Dealers, Installers and Distributors
MARTINSVILLE, Va., Nov. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With window film becoming a popular alternative to replacement windows, window film industry experts recently met to expand their knowledge, business opportunities and earn accreditations from the International Window Film Association (IWFA).
Window film is a high-tech, polyester-based product that is easily adhered to window glazing to offer a wide-range of benefits such as energy savings, fade and glare reduction, safety and impact mitigation and design features.
Recently the Members Action Committee, dedicated to supporting dealer members of the IWFA, held an educational event in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania open to anyone in the window film industry.
An important thrust of the two-day conference was four separate courses and exams leading to accreditation in window film applications such as solar control, advanced solar control, safety and security window films and automotive window film.
"The window film industry is seeing increased growth, so ready access to accredited window film professional installers is a cornerstone of our profession," said Jack Mundy, chair of the IWFA Members Action Committee. "While IWFA educational events are open to all window film professionals, our members have the added advantage of being featured on the IWFA website's dealer locator, which helps consumers find a qualified installer in their area," added Mundy.
Working with an IWFA accredited dealer assures the public that the specialist with whom they are working with has completed testing on the proper uses and technical aspects of window film products.
Following the event Toby Yurko, owner of Solar Control Window Tinting of Pittsburgh, said, "I believe having IWFA accreditation offers consumers additional confidence and demonstrates our commitment to professionalism." Richard Tabor, president of The Tint Shop Inc. of Edison, New Jersey said, "IWFA events like this offer the opportunity for best practices and face-to-face networking with other industry professionals."
