Windham Brannon Introduces New Strategic Growth Advisory Services
Firm Brings on Industry Veteran Tom Leahey to Lead Practice Area
ATLANTA, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to honor its commitment to "Offering More," Windham Brannon, a leading provider of tax, audit, accounting and advisory services, today announced its new Strategic Growth Advisory Practice, to be led by industry veteran and new Principal Tom Leahey.
The new practice was established to help companies that don't have the internal resources required to manage through periods of strategic inflection points, which typically involve high growth. Examples of the services Windham Brannon will be providing include managing merger and acquisition processes, capital structuring, strategic refinement, and international expansion.
Leahey comes on board as part of Windham Brannon's acquisition of the consulting and advisory firm, Latitude Growth Partners. The boutique firm has built a solid client base of high-growth corporations, which will now have unfettered access to the depth and breadth of resources Windham Brannon offers.
"We are bringing together two companies with synergies in both business advisory as well as client-service philosophies," said David Kloess, president & CEO, Windham Brannon. "We've known Tom for a long time and have already worked on several mutual client projects together. We have tremendous respect for him, and his talents are obvious when you look at how quickly his firm grew its client base. Our two firms have great compatibility. The addition of Tom to our team comes at a time when Windham Brannon clients are looking for more complementary and sophisticated services under one roof."
Leahey has more than 25 years' experience in finance and executive management within a variety of high-growth environments including software, managed services and professional services companies. His background includes previous positions as Chief Financial Officer at Verismic, Chief Operating Officer at STI Knowledge, Executive Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Maxim Group, and Vice President at Wachovia. His transaction experience includes being lead executive in multiple public market financings including a New York Stock Exchange listing, as well as 35 acquisitions and corporate transactions totaling $3 billion.
"Windham Brannon's entrepreneurial spirit and the comprehensive success of its other highly regarded practice areas coupled with the natural synergies of our companies and the additional resources of a large firm provide exciting opportunities not only for me and my existing clients, but also for the numerous emerging growth companies in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast," said Leahey. "I look forward to expanding the Strategic Growth Advisory practice and working with my new colleagues, as well as other professional partners within the Windham Brannon network."
