More Games and BB King's Restaurant Highlight New Offerings
MONTGOMERY, Ala., Nov. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wind Creek Hospitality (WCH) is improving the Creek Casino Montgomery location to include an expanded gaming floor, hotel, salon, retail shop, barber shop, swimming pool, event center, and food and beverage service from Beale Street Blues Company, Inc. The expanded gaming floor and BB King's Blues Club will open to the public on Tuesday, December 1 at 10am.
The growth is the result of an investment of over $65 million by The Poarch Band of Creek Indians, owners of Wind Creek Hospitality. The new gaming floor boasts more than 2200 gaming machines and a non-smoking game room. BB King's Blues Club and restaurant offers nightly entertainment, a speak-easy environment, and enhanced dining options housed in Beale Street Decor. The new food and music outlets, along with Wind Creek Wetumpka's entertainment center, will advance Montgomery as an entertainment hub for all of Alabama.
As part of the transition, Creek Casino Montgomery will be renamed Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Montgomery (WCM).
The project will reach completion in late December with a hotel and an upscale restaurant added to round out the resort-style offerings. The five story hotel will house 123 rooms, including eight suites, an events center, and a full-service, high end salon. Montgomery's sister locations in Atmore and Wetumpka have been designated as AAA Four Diamond hotels, so expectations are high that the Montgomery retreat will garner the same distinction. Itta Bena Restaurant- a 195 seat refined dining experience- is also managed by Beale Street Blues Company. Itta Bena will offer an extensive wine list and delicious, modern interpretations of Southern classic dishes.
Lucille's restaurant, a fast-casual venue serving burgers, chicken tenders, wings, catfish, nachos and barbecue sandwiches, has been open at WCM since last January. Jake Carlton, Property Manager for Wind Creek Montgomery, said "Partnering with Beale Street Blues Company on Lucille's Restaurant could not be going any better. We are excited about building on that partnership with BB King's Blues Club and Itta Bena. They are the best at what they do and we are the best at what we do. Our guests get to experience the best of everything in their hometown casino here at Wind Creek Montgomery."
Over 30,000 cubic yards of concrete and 550 tons of steel were used in the new structure. Construction took 1000 workers about 3120 hours to complete. New operations will create almost 250 new jobs for the Montgomery area workforce.
