WinCo Foods Announces Opening of New Store In Gilbert, Arizona

BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- WinCo Foods LLC announced today that it will open its second store in Gilbert and fifth discount supermarket in the State of Arizona at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9th.  The Gilbert store is located at 1363 N. Arizona Avenue and is approximately 94,500 square feet in size. The store includes WinCo's newer décor package that helps create an efficient, clean feel, highlights the product and coordinates nicely with the hundreds of quality private label products the company continues to introduce.  The Gilbert store will initially employ approximately 185 individuals, 175 of which have been hired locally.

WinCo Foods is an employee owned discount grocery chain known primarily for being the "Supermarket Low Price Leader" in each market it serves.  Gilbert Store Manager, Kerrie Olson, transfers to the store from the Phoenix WinCo located at 330 w. Bell Road.  Kerrie has over 26 years of industry experience and has been with the company for a little over two years.  Assistant Mangers are Josh Arriaga and Mike Harper. Kerrie, her management team and the store employees are excited about opening the new Gilbert store and are eager to assist new customers with a great combination of customer service and low pricing.  Kerrie feels excitement for the new store building among potential customers in the community and says, "as employee owners, all of us here at WinCo look forward to giving Gilbert an exciting shopping option that provides great pricing and a terrific customer experience for all of our new friends". 

The store features the "Wall of Values" at the entry, which displays a wide variety of high volume products with particularly good pricing.  The main sales floor of each store encompasses large fresh produce, bulk foods, meat, deli, seafood, and bakery service departments.  The unique bulk foods department allows customers to buy only the amounts they want and displays over 700 items, including many natural food products, some organics, snacks, candies, cereals, flours, pastas, spices and more.  The store will also feature a new craft brew display.  We can't wait for customers to come in to check out our new store and to benefit from the everyday low pricing, great service and quality that WinCo Foods provides.
