BURR RIDGE, Ill., Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wireless Information Networks (WIN), a leading distributed antenna systems (DAS) and smart building integrator, announced two new hires today: Ben Collins as vice president of service model development, and Brian Hough as vice president of emerging markets. The two leaders will help WIN expand its communications and connectivity solutions across key vertical markets nationwide, including healthcare, hospitality, suburban and urban development, education, and new construction.
Collins will lead the effort of introducing WIN's service model to these markets, while continuing to strengthen WIN's relationships with Class A office properties. He will also work closely with Hough, as head of the emerging markets team, on implementing strategic smartphone applications and developing new business partners.
Both executives bring extensive leadership experience and expertise to WIN. Collins has spent the past 11 years in wireless field services, establishing and managing the national service model for advanced wireless services (AWS) spectrum relocation initiatives for Tier 1 carriers. He worked with design engineering firms, OEMs and the FCC, while leading his team through the stages of design, installation, testing and turn-up — ensuring countless successful deployments.
Hough brings more than 16 years of experience in wireless communications sales. Most recently, he was senior VP of sales and marketing for RF Industries, focusing on demand creation and new product development for emerging markets. He also served as the global senior VP of sales and marketing for Hutton Communications, where he helped create the company's portfolio of DAS and extended coverage solutions and expanded sales throughout the United States and international markets.
"Collins and Hough will be instrumental in expanding WIN's presence in vertical markets as our clients continue to experience many benefits of WIN's communications and connectivity platforms," said Thomas Crotty, the company's president and CEO. "I look forward to the significant contribution these two seasoned professionals will bring to WIN in the months to come!"
