Wilton Manors Welcomes Roberta Moore as Director of Community Development Services
WILTON MANORS, Fla., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The City of Wilton Manors is pleased to welcome Roberta Moore as Director of the Community Development Services Department. Moore joined the Wilton Manors team in April, and in her own words is "hitting the ground running."

With a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University, a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a Concentration on Economic Development and Tourism, Moore is perfectly suited to help Wilton Manors continue on its path of positive growth and sustainability for future generations.
Moore is a seasoned professional with numerous years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She was a planning consultant for a telecommunications firm, the Planning and Zoning Manager and Principal Planner for the City of Wellington, and most recently the Planning and Zoning Director for the City of Parkland.
Wilton Manors City Manager Joseph Gallegos said, "Moore was hired above all the other candidates because of her skills in assisting the City to attract high-quality development; especially as the City looks to redevelop Dixie Highway, Andrews Avenue and Powerline Road."
As economic opportunities present themselves, Moore will remain steadfast in helping the City continue to attract the right type of developers. Moore will also oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of her department, including managing the permitting and inspection processes, and working to ensure the City's neighborhoods maintain their integrity and all residents continue to enjoy a high quality of life.
