Wilton Manors Property Values Rise More Than 10 Percent
WILTON MANORS, Fla., July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Property values are on the rise again in the City of Wilton Manors – a 10.11 percent increase over last year.
Aside from Lazy Lake, located entirely within Wilton Manors, the Island City had the highest increase in property values in all of Broward County at 10.11 percent. In 2013, property values in Wilton Manors increased 6.8 percent.
Broward County's county-wide property values increased 7.24 percent while values went up in nearby Oakland Park by 8.36 percent and 6.85 percent in Fort Lauderdale.
"Once again, Wilton Manors topped the county in terms of increased property values. This is a tremendous accomplishment for our city," said Mayor Gary Resnick.
In addition to its strong neighborhood identity and pride, Wilton Manors is well-known for its continued commitment to re-development and its trendy shopping and restaurant district along Wilton Drive.
"The year-over-year property value increases in Wilton Manors are the result of policies put in place over the past 10 to 15 years," said Resnick. "These policies have allowed us to invest in our neighborhoods, improve code enforcement, improve commercial districts, strengthen our fiscal resources and adopt a vision that makes Wilton Manors a desirable place to live and to operate a business."
Resnick thanked volunteer board members, city employees and commissioners who contribute to making Wilton Manors such special place.
"Whether you're looking to sell a property in Wilton Manors or invest here, Wilton Manors is hot," Resnick said.
