Kirkham has become a partner at the firm. A highly accomplished and versatile corporate finance expert, Kirkham will be based in the firm's San Francisco office.

Kirkham specializes in the representation of private equity sponsors, commercial borrowers, and financial institutions in secured and unsecured senior and mezzanine debt financing transactions and related workouts and restructurings. In addition, he has extensive experience advising on cross-border financings and leveraged acquisition transactions, as well as structuring distressed acquisition financings and negotiating credit facilities for investment funds. Kirkham has represented underwriters and U.S. and foreign private issuers with regard to capital markets transactions involving U.S. registered and privately placed equity and debt offerings. He also has represented buyers, targets, and financial advisers in both public and private merger and acquisition transactions.
Prior to joining Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Kirkham was a corporate finance partner in the San Francisco office of O'Melveny & Myers. Before his tenure at O'Melveny & Myers, Kirkham was an associate in the London office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1998 and earned an M.A. in international affairs from Columbia University the same year. In addition, he received a B.A. in philosophy from the University of York in the United Kingdom in 1992.
