Lassack has become Of Counsel at the firm. Formerly an attorney with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the Bureau of Consumer Protection's Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, Lassack brings extensive experience with the investigation of unfair and deceptive acts and practices involving data protection, privacy, and violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. She will be based in the firm's Washington, D.C., office.

Before joining Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Lassack spent four years (2010-2014) as an attorney at the FTC in the Bureau of Consumer Protection's Division of Privacy and Identity Protection and Division of Marketing Practices. While serving at the FTC, she investigated and prosecuted deceptive and unfair practices related to data security, consumer privacy, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, credit card payment processing, and marketing practices. Prior to joining the FTC, Lassack spent four years as an associate with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and Washington, D.C., where she focused on antitrust, litigation, and regulatory investigations, including those related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. She began her legal career by serving as a clerk to the Honorable James L. Ryan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2005 to 2006.
