Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati Continues to Expand Antitrust Practice

PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, is pleased to announce that Mark Rosman has joined the firm as a partner in its antitrust practice. Rosman formerly was Assistant Chief of the National Criminal Enforcement Section of the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division. Based in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, he will represent and counsel clients in connection with a wide variety of matters, including cartel defense, criminal enforcement investigations, and merger and civil non-merger cases.

In his seven years as Assistant Chief of the National Criminal Enforcement Section, Rosman oversaw teams of trial attorneys and law enforcement agents who prosecuted numerous cartel cases and related violations, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, bribery, wire fraud, obstruction of justice, and kickbacks. Among many prominent cases, he served as lead attorney on the Antitrust Division's investigation into air transportation price-fixing—the division's largest ever—which resulted in a record $1.8 billion in fines. Previously, he had been special assistant to the Directors of Enforcement in the Antitrust Division's Office of Operations, where he assisted Directors and Deputy Assistant Attorneys General in criminal matters and merger and civil non-merger matters. He worked on many cases involving amnesty, recommended indictments, plea agreements, immunity, investigations, and case development. Rosman began his legal career as a trial attorney in the Dallas field office of the Antitrust Division. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991, and a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988.
