Willie Geist Announced as Celebrity Fund-a-Cause Auctioneer at DanceGiving on May 12
Bpeace holds celebration to raise funds for businesswomen in nations emerging from war
NEW YORK, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Bpeace (Business Council for Peace) continues to put the fun in fundraising with DanceGiving 2010 (www.dancegiving.org). The unique campaign of team-led efforts to raise money for Bpeace will culminate in a dance party benefit at the City Winery on May 12, 2010.
"We are thrilled that Mr. Geist is supporting our event again, as he was a huge hit in 2009! Our live fund-a-cause auction is an exciting part of the evening and we know Mr. Geist will ensure its success. DanceGiving is our annual opportunity to celebrate Bpeace's successful collaboration with Afghan and Rwandan entrepreneurs to create more jobs and build a more peaceful future in their countries. Jobs make all things possible — less poverty, illness, violence," said Toni Maloney, Bpeace Co-Founder and CEO.
Networks of teams and individual dancers have been working together to spread the word about Bpeace. They aim to raise over $200,000 for DanceGiving 2010. All proceeds go to train and coach entrepreneurs in Afghanistan, Rwanda, and a third country that will be selected in 2010.
Crop Organic Vodka will sponsor an open vodka bar featuring a signature DanceGiving cocktail, and KISS FM's DJ Sylk will be spinning throughout the night. Tickets are on sale now at www.dancegiving.org.
