William Baer, Stephen Ewing and Charles Podowski Re-Elected to Terms on AAA Michigan Board

DEARBORN, Mich., March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- William P. Baer, Stephen E. Ewing and Charles H. Podowski were re-elected to terms on the Board of Directors of the 1.6-million-member Automobile Club of Michigan (AAA Michigan) during the annual membership meeting today (March 8) at Club Headquarters in Dearborn.

AAA Michigan offers roadside assistance, travel, insurance and financial services.

Podowski is President and Chief Executive Officer at The Auto Club Group, the largest affiliation of AAA clubs in the Midwest, with approximately 4.1 million members in eight states.  He also serves on the Boards of Directors of The Auto Club Group (ACG) and the national AAA association.

Ewing serves as Chairman of AAA Michigan and ACG.  He is the retired Vice-Chairman of DTE Energy.  Before joining DTE Energy, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MCN Energy Group, Inc. and President and Chief Executive Officer of Michigan Consolidated Gas Co.

Baer is principal owner, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Crown Group, a diversified automotive supplier of metal and plastic coatings, headquartered in Warren, MI.  The company has locations throughout North America.

Baer and Ewing were re-elected to three-year terms.  Podowski was re-elected to a two-year term.
