COSHOCTON, Ohio, July 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wiley's Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil continues to support the community by being a leading sponsor of one of the 78 Obstacle Course Racing World Qualifier Events, called the Indian Mud Run. Affectionately known as "the little race that could", the Indian Mud Run has grown exponentially in the past few years, earning a reputation as a tough course to complete with some of its toughest obstacles being featured in the World Qualifier Championship competition later this year in Canada.
The Indian Mud Run course added 1.9 miles to make the total distance nearly 6 grueling miles with over 50 obstacles to complete. It also offered a traditional 5K course that bypassed the extreme obstacles, with 20 obstacles that still challenged the very best.
The event brought over 700 people to Coshocton County from over 27 states and 2 countries. This year, the Indian Mud Run and Wiley's Finest raised $28,000, which will be donated to Coshocton County's Friends of the Park, the local Fire Stations, and other community organizations.
In March, Wiley's Finest launched a new product called Vitamin K2 with the inspirational tagline of "Climb the Peak of Health", to encourage people to explore their personal health choices and embrace excellent nutrition and regular exercise. The new, innovative formula, Vitamin K2 combines MenaQ7® Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3 with Omega-3's EPA & DHA to support optimal bone and heart health by helping to incorporate calcium into our bones, not negatively into our arteries.
To coincide with this launch, Wiley's Finest offered a "Climb the Peak of Health Experience" course at the Indian Mud Run. Participants wore weighted hiking packs and had to perform squats, push-ups, and step-ups onto the Peak of Health (pictured here). The course provided a great warm up and activity for race participants and observers.
Over 20% of Wiley's Finest employees volunteered or competed in the race. "We are honored to see how the race has grown from our first year of participation to where it is today," Sam Wiley, Wiley's Finest CEO explains. "The Indian Mud Run is a great way for us to keep in touch with our community and advocate a lifestyle which embraces wholesome nutrition and exercise in the great outdoors and is something that is important to the Wiley family. We really look forward to seeing how the Indian Mud Run steps it up again next year!"
