Widget Lets Retailers Repurpose Google Local Availability Data for Mobile
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Branding Brand has developed a "Find in Stores" widget that, for the first time, lets retailers repurpose Google Local Availability data feed for use on their own mobile sites.
The widget allows shoppers to check an item's availability and find the nearest location for purchase. It is currently in use on Branding Brand-developed m-commerce sites, including Steve Madden and Vitamin Shoppe.
"'Find in Stores' offers an easy way for brands to get their inventory, not just on Google, but also on their mobile site or app," says Chris Mason, Branding Brand's co-founder. "It's a mobile means to an in-store end."
